My Music

2012 UPDATE: I am working on a NEW ALBUM! After many years with no new releases, I now have approximately 70% of my new album recorded. It is tentatively titled "Covenant of Fear", which is the name of the title track (which is about the discourse between Plato and Thrasymachus in The Republic). Stay tuned for release date and further information!

I've always seen things in my head, visions of magical worlds, castles floating in the skies, and all kinds of things that can't be described in words. Music was my solution, it's the only language capable of conveying what I see. I try to capture these visions in my music, and indeed, every song I have ever written was inspired by some random dilusion or another.

I have constructed an electronic studio over the years consisting of MIDI, digital audio recording and editing, as well as electronic synthesis and sampling capabilities. I play a digital electronic drumset, as well as several synth/keyboards, but these days, the computer is my instrument of choice.

I've played with a bunch of different bands in the Denver/Boulder area, such as: King's Valley, Maniacle, Decimation, Ferocious Kittens, Cloud 9, and Freedom Syndicate. I've played shows all over the Denver/Boulder area, and have composed music for an NBC affiliate radio station in Cleveland.

I do work hard (and spend way too much money on gear) in order to bring this music to the world, free-of-charge. So if you enjoy it at all, and have any sense of decency- please support my efforts by donating a few bucks... I will donate a small portion of proceeds to Unicef as well, so there's another reason for you!

7/3/19: I am thrilled to have accepted a position as an Instructor at the University of Colorado at Denver! I was extremely impressed by the students and community when last I was there, and am excited to be returning to now teach all the core classes for the UCD Philosophy of Science Minor!

5/6/16: I'm honored to be the first person to receive both the CU Boulder Philosophy Department Morriston Teaching Award (2016) and the University of Colorado-Boulder Graduate Teaching Excellence Award (2014-2015)! My thanks go out to the many great teachers and students with whom I've been lucky enough to learn!
