In terms of views, I think that religion poses the single greatest threat that humanity has even faced, and that christianity and it's imposition on American society is going to bring about the destruction of all that we hold dear [as well as the world]. I think that "intelligent design theory" is a pathetic, sleight-of-hand trick to sneak creationalism into schools, when it is in fact nothing more than an ignorant and moronic failure to conceive of the universe/cosmos as anything larger than our solar system. I think that rigorous analysis, often of a scientific nature, ought to guide our actions and policies. I think that G.W. Bush and his cronies are the very embodiment of fascist evil and greed. I think that no political situation can justify torture (although consenting adults in a bedroom may be another matter, depending on your views...), and am outraged by the political state of affairs, especially those changes recently wrought by the republican party.
Philosophically, I strongly favor the analytic approach over the continental, and am specializing in epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of mind, science, and logic.
Who I'd like to meet: People with some similar interests who enjoy engaging in dialectic aimed at improving our understanding of the nature and reality of the universe. I really enjoy discussions with people who read widely and think analytically, and can bring well thought-out positions to the table that everyone can learn from (while still being open to changing them if changes are shown to be appropriate!)
and i would definately love to hear what came out of that arrangement. he always totes about the weather...that's why i like to ignore my phone when it's cold, and leave messages in august.
Okay. So you hate everything that the city I live in represents, stands for, etc.; the greed, the hypocracy, the pretentiousness. I know. All I'm saying is that A) the weather out here kicks ass B) there are palm trees here C) if you relocated out here, I'd put your ass to work in a heartbeat playin' some raggamuffin riddims on de keyboard...
Okay dude. This one comes courtesy of my boy Malachi out in Wichita. ...now keep in mind that he actually met people that *really believe* this stuff. Read it, get back to me and tell me where to start, because well, frankly, I'm at a loss here...
Happy Snow Time Holiday Etc. The kids and I are well surviving suburbia. How are you? I read a lot of fantasy novels, although not nearly as many as I used to.
You know what I think is funny? And feel free to use this free of charge:
Next time someone says to you "Well good morning!" answer them with
"Dude. Why you gotta be such a fuckin' dick all the time?! What the fuck."
Ha ha ha! And here I thought I was bitter about Washington. You might actually have me beat (but not by much). Its funny how we've all maintained that youthful disillusionment. Must have been something in that thar mountain water.
No I havnt been kicked out of Kansas yet but it is something to strive for. Maybe I'll find a nice preachers daughter to defile. You think that will be enough?
